Friends of the Gallery Show
Volunteers are the backbone of the Station Gallery as they are to so many Arts organizations everywhere. Many of the volunteers may be talented artists or just enjoy art and donate their time, over the past six years, to the operations of the Gallery.
The Station Gallery would like to highlight the work of these talented artists who meet the visitors, create the receptions, hang the exhibits, polish glass, pound the pavement to hand out posters, paint walls, do construction as well as maintaining social media sites, creation of the virtual gallery and fundraising. Whew!
These functions are key to the success of the Station Gallery. We also recognize and thank the generous support of the community of St Marys.

GOOD MORNING!
Artist Bonn Richardson
Acrylic on canvas
28cm by 36cm
$595.00
This peach rose from my garden has always fascinated me. It sings to me every morning and I can’t help but drink it in, just like the bees who can’t resist it either. There is something very tender and loving about it and I am privileged to be a part of its life every time I paint it.

MOON SONG
Artist Bonn Richardson
Acrylic on canvas 30cm by 30cm
$550.00
I work at leaving myself open to paint intuitively. This particular piece reflects a calm pond from many ponds I've been to and keep treasured in my imagination. I am sitting on a rock watching the night changes, pondering the reflections in the water and listening to crickets sing to the moon. This painting makes me feel like I'm still there, at my pond.

SONG IN THE GARDEN
Artist Bonn Richardson
Acrylic on canvas 30cm by 30cm
$550.00
The spirit of my Echinacea lives on in this painting even though it is starting to turn brown with the onslaught of cooler weather. As I worked the colours and contrasts onto my canvas, it’s as if the flower winked at me and said, “I’m only sleeping for a little while and I’ll be back.

GLORY OF THE MORNING
Artist Bonn Richardson
Acrylic on canvas 60cm by 79cm
$1375.00
When I paint abstract, I work to paint the essence of my subject, whether it is a feeling or a scene. This painting is a combination of what I felt and saw as I stood on the shore of a northern lake watching the sun rise over the mountains. I turned around in circles drinking in the glory of the morning. Sun danced all around, bouncing on evergreens and deciduous trees in the forest. It took my breath away and this painting was born.
